Kremlin calls reports on Trump team's alleged Ukraine plan 'abstract'

"It looks just like The Wall Street Journal's plan for Ukraine," Dmitry Peskov pointed out

MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. The Wall Street Journal's publication on the existence of US President-elect Donald Trump's team's alleged plan for a settlement in Ukraine is abstract, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Everything is impersonal there," he said, commenting on the publication. "It looks just like The Wall Street Journal's plan for Ukraine," the spokesman pointed out. "The publications posted there are of an increasingly abstract nature," he added.

The American newspaper reported on the Trump team's alleged intention to end the conflict in Ukraine along the front lines by creating a demilitarized zone and postponing the issue of Kiev's NATO membership for at least 20 years.

Trump made Ukraine a key issue during his election campaign. He announced plans to resolve the situation even before his inauguration in January 2025 if he wins. After the first results of the election were announced in the United States, Trump declared his intention to "stop all wars" in a victory speech to his supporters. At the same time, no specific plans or initiatives were made public.
