NEW YORK, November 7. /TASS/. Ukraine "has the most to lose" over Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump winning the US election, NBC said.
According to the TV station, European countries are "very worried" over Trump’s victory, "especially when it comes to NATO." In particular, it was noted that Ukraine is concerned about the new state of affairs and the Kiev regime is afraid of losing the US’ support and being forced to come to the negotiating table.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal said that Trump’s potential victory may create even more uncertainty with regard to Ukraine.
In an interview with the PBD podcast, Trump said that Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky was responsible for the conflict breaking out and should have prevented it. He called Zelensky one of the "greatest salesmen" he had ever seen, referencing his ability to get $100 bln every time he visited the United States. At the same time, Trump pointed out that he felt sorry for the Ukrainian people and wanted to help them, lamenting the situation, saying "Zelensky should never have let that war start." Trump also said that the conflict "is a loser" and added that Ukraine is no longer the country it used to be.
Voting in the US presidential election ended early on November 6, Moscow time. While official results have yet to be announced, Fox News has already projected that Trump is leading the election with 277 Electoral College votes, out of the 270 needed to win. Trump himself has already declared himself the 47th President of the United States. US House Speaker Mike Johnson has congratulated ‘President-elect’ Trump, as have foreign leaders.
