MOSCOW, October 14 (Itar-Tass) - The security guard force was beefed up around the ‘old’ building of the State Duma lower house of Russian parliament in Okhotny Ryad Street, Itar-Tass reported.
The policemen lined up along the whole building at a distance of ten meters from each other. The buses and trucks for the delivery of police staff are on standby along Moskva Hotel in front of the State Duma building. The law enforcers “do not oust anyone and do not hamper the movement of people and protect the public order,” a policeman added to Itar-Tass.
Meanwhile, the entrance from the underground passage on Manezhnaya Square is closed.
The State Duma did not ask police to reinforce the guarding force, a representative of the State Duma department for public relations and cooperation with media told Itar-Tass. “This is a decision of the Moscow police department,” the representative said, recommending turn in the Moscow police department for further explanations.
