US under Trump to retain course toward undermining Eurasian integration — SVR chief

"We are yet to see how Washington’s foreign policy will change," Sergey Naryshkin noted

MOSCOW, November 26. /TASS/. US foreign policy after Donald Trump’s return to the White House will continue to be directed against integration processes in Eurasia, Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Director Sergey Naryshkin said at the 20th meeting of the heads of security and intelligence agencies of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, currently convening in Moscow.

"We are yet to see how Washington’s foreign policy will change, if it does, under Trump. However, I am confident that the American obsession with undermining integration processes on the Eurasian continent will remain unchanged," he noted.

"The Anglo-Saxons like to divide in order to conquer. On the contrary, we prefer to unite even tighter in order to live peacefully and safely, regardless of any external ventures by deteriorating totalitarian-liberal Western regimes," the SVR chief stressed.
