Top Russian missile producer keeps finger on pulse to create new hypersonic weapons

According to Tactical Missiles Corporation CEO Boris Obnosov, the company regularly hold research and technology panels with Russian Academy of Sciences and reviews its progress and the achievements of competitors in key areas

MOSCOW, January 26. /TASS/. Professionals from the Tactical Missiles Corporation are keeping a close watch on the situation to develop cutting-edge hypersonic weapons that are in-demand, company CEO and Hero of Russia, Boris Obnosov, said in an interview with TASS.

"You are definitely aware [that we] deal with hypersonic [technology] in particular. Without looking into the future, without forecasting the characteristics of weapons that will be needed in the future, it would not have been possible to create them," the company executive said.

"We regularly hold research and technology panels with different organizations - and not just the corporation’s enterprises but also the Russian Academy of Sciences, where we review our progress and the achievements of competitors in key areas. We lay out our tasks for the near, mid-and long term on that basis," he noted.

All of the corporation’s enterprises completed the state defense order for 2022, Obnosov said. The special military operation has significantly changed the company’s operations and the multi-shift operations organized at plants, he added.
