Syrian army foils militants’ attempt to break out of US-controlled area – Defense Ministry

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Syria’s army has repelled an attack by a group of militants who attempted to break out of the US-controlled area in the country, Oleg Yegorov, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria, said on Wednesday.

"A group of militants attempted to break out of the US-controlled area on two pickup trucks and three motorcycles. Syrian government forces successfully repelled the attack. One Syrian soldier was seriously wounded," Yegorov said.
