Talks with US only expose its hostility toward Pyongyang — North Korean leader

"Today's emergency situation on the Korean Peninsula is by no means a reflection of the other side's misunderstanding," Kim Jong Un added

SEOUL, November 22. /TASS/. Negotiations with the United States at various levels have only revealed no change in Washington's hostile policy towards Pyongyang, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said at the opening of an arms exhibition in the republic's capital.

"We went as far as we could in negotiations with the US, but the outcomes barely reflect the superpower's desire for peaceful coexistence. Instead, they underscore its unchanging hostile, aggressive policy and adherence to a position of power," the Korean Central Telegraphic Agency reported, quoting the North Korean leader's words.

"Today's emergency situation on the Korean Peninsula is by no means a reflection of the other side's misunderstanding," Kim Jong Un added.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and then-US President Donald Trump held several meetings. However, the 2019 North Korea-United States Hanoi Summit on denuclearization of the peninsula concluded inconclusively.
