MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Ukraine expects to receive several new Patriot systems to defend its airspace this winter, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky told reporters at a news conference on Tuesday.
"I will not say how many, but several new Patriot systems will defend our country in winter. I promised not to disclose their numbers until they are duly protected," he said.
Earlier, Ukraine received one Patriot system from the United States and one from Germany. Later, Berlin pledged to donate another one.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on May 17 that it delivered a strike with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles on May 16, destroying five Patriot launchers and a radar in Kiev. Later, the Pentagon said the system had been fully repaired.
