Belarus, Russia see world fatigued by hegemony of certain countries — Belarusian minister

Sergei Aleinik added that Minsk and Moscow see how new centers of power are gaining strength in the global South and East

MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. Belarus and Russia see fatigue in most of the world’s countries from the hegemony of certain nations, Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik said.

"We clearly feel the fatigue of most of the world's countries from the slipping hegemony of one group of states, injustice and aggressive imposition of alien principles, values and foundations," he said at a meeting of top officials from the Foreign Ministries of Russia and Belarus.

Aleinik said Belarus and Russia see how new centers of power are gaining strength in the global South and East.

"These countries are steadily making headway on the path of social and economic development, on the path of building up not only political, but also economic sovereignty," the minister went on to say. "In this context, there is a need to further strengthen cooperation with the friendly countries of Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean."
