MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. The Belarusian presidency in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) promoted approaches to peacekeeping activities, as well as analysis and forecasts, Secretary General of the organization Imangali Tasmagambetov said.
"The Belarusian presidency considerably promoted the approaches to improve peacekeeping activities and increased analytical and forecast components of the joint work," he said and paid specific attention to high-level international conference the Eurasian Security: Reality and Prospects in Transforming World held by Belarus.
"Belarus traditionally demonstrates a very interested and responsible approach to the CSTO format," he said.
"Active efforts under the Belarusian presidency continued in all guidelines of the joint work. The structure was updated, as well as preparation and provision of collective security command bodies," he added. Large-scale exercises were held in Belarus and Kirgizia.
"Thus, everything planned by Minsk for the year of the Belarusian presidency was successfully implemented," Tasmagambetov said.
