TEL AVIV, November 15. /TASS/. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) servicemen have found no evidence that hostages were held by the Palestinian radical Hamas movement at the Al-Shifa hospital in the Gaza Strip.

According to The Times of Israel and the Israel Army Radio, when the Israeli military entered the medical compound, it found no trace of hostages, only weapons belonging to the militants.

On November 14, Kan State Radio claimed that Hamas supporters had taken the Israelis kidnapped on October 7 to Al-Shifa Hospital about two weeks ago. According to the radio station, some 200 terrorists took refuge at the medical facility after the October 7 attack and brought the hostages there.

Earlier that day, IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari reported that the Israeli military had information that the Al-Rantisi hospital in Gaza had been used by Hamas supporters to hold hostages and for military purposes. The group's command center was discovered in the basement beneath the facility, where explosive devices, assault rifles, RPGs and other weapons were stored. According to Hagari, indications that hostages were being held there were also found in the basement.
