Hainan’s city of Sanya opens exhibition at the Boao Forum for Asia

The exhibition is divided into four thematic zones featuring innovations in various fields such as science and technology, modern industry structure, institutional modernization and culture

BOAO /China/, March 27. /TASS/. The resort city of Sanya in Hainan Province has prepared an innovation exhibition at the Boao Forum for Asia, which will be held on March 28-31 in the eastern part of the island. The event is called "Wind from the Sea," the organizers said Monday.

The exhibit is located in front of the Boao Conference Hall, where a series of large-scale events with political scientists and leading experts from around the world are held every spring. The exhibition is divided into four thematic zones dedicated to the introduction of innovations in various areas such as science and technology, the formation of a modern industry structure, the process of institutional modernization, as well as in the sphere of culture.

The exhibition showcases Sanya's achievements in recent years. Both in the field of duty-free trade, aerospace, crop farming and deep-water projects, and in the field of finance and modern services. In one of the thematic pavilions one can learn about the advantages of the local tourist market. Particular emphasis is placed on the specifics of the local cultural scene.

The organizers offer visitors a walk through the so-called innovation corridor, which allows them to get an idea of the history and specifics of Sanya's development. In addition, the organizers of the exhibition explain the strategy pursued by the local authorities for social and economic modernization.

It is expected that through this exhibition the international public will get an even clearer picture of the dynamic development of Sanya, and international investors will show even more interest in the city, given the many advantages of the business atmosphere.

Sanya is China's leading resort, home to more than 1 million people. In 2022, its gross product was 84.71 billion yuan (about $12.2 billion). The city reaches an average annual temperature of 25.4 degrees Celsius and has a coastline of more than 200 kilometers. There are 19 bays and about 40 islands suitable for recreation in the surrounding waters, all of which enable the local government to successfully develop yacht and beach tourism.
