MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Moscow and Hanoi are interested in further boosting cooperation in defense and security, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and top diplomat Bui Thanh Son.

"We are interested in further strengthening cooperation in defense and security," Lavrov said.

Bui Thanh Son is on an official visit to Russia on April 1-4. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on January 30, 1950.
