Parallel imports to Russia amount to $8.7 billion in January-May 2026

The figure reached about $2.3 billion in May 2026

MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. The volume of parallel imports to Russia in January-May of this year amounted to $8.7 billion, and about $2.3 billion specifically in May, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Roman Chekushov told reporters on the sidelines of the Russian Retail Week forum.

"Now the volume of parallel imports from month to month is generally stable. According to the results of five months, we see that the volume of parallel imports amounted to $8.7 billion. On average, this is about $1.7 billion per month," he said.

At the same time, the figure reached about $2.3 billion in May 2026.

Despite this, the volume of supplies through parallel imports has stabilized. "We do not have targets for the volume of parallel imports. And moreover, we do not seek to reduce or increase it. Therefore, so far the trend is not so much downward as the fact that it has been stable around figures from one and a half to two billion dollars a month this year," the deputy minister stressed.
