MELITOPOL, April 10. /TASS/. Russian troops destroyed a Ukrainian army stronghold near Verbovoye in the Zaporozhye area and improved frontline positions, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the We Are Together With Russia public movement, told TASS on Wednesday.
"Our fighters have destroyed another stronghold of the Ukrainian army near Verbovoye and improved their frontline positions. In Rabotino and Verbovoye, they have repulsed two enemy counterattacks in each of these settlements over the past 24 hours," he said.
In the Orekhov direction, the Ukrainian military has sharply curtailed the use of artillery, he added.
"We link this with missile and artillery strikes at enemy depots. In that frontline area, our troops have also destroyed armored combat vehicles, pickup trucks and infantry fighting vehicles used to deliver militants to the frontline. In counter-battery fire, several enemy self-propelled artillery systems have been destroyed," Rogov said.
