MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. A reconnaissance attempt by a group of Ukrainian forces and a shore of River Dnieper was thwarted in the Zaporozhye Region, says Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the "We are Together with Russia" movement.

"A reconnaissance group came, checking what there is [on the Dnieper shore]. When it got busted, they opened fire. Ours [Russian forces] opened fire in response. Killed several, but they managed to sail away," he told TASS, adding that the group landed on two motorboats.

On Tuesday, Rogov told TASS that reconnaissance group, comprised of foreign mercenaries, continue their attacks on the contact line in the Zaporozhye Region, but are being repelled by the joint forces.
