Israel strikes suspected radicals in security zone in southern Lebanon

According to the statement, several suspects crossed the Security Zone in the Baraashit area, entered a structure, and posed a threat to IDF soldiers

TEL AVIV, August 21. /TASS/. The Israeli military struck a building in the security zone in southern Lebanon that sheltered several suspected radicals, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

"Earlier today (Friday), IDF soldiers identified several suspects who crossed into the Security Zone in the Baraashit area, entered a structure, and posed a threat to IDF soldiers. Following the identification, the IDF carried out a strike on the structure," it said.

"The IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm the civilians of Israel and its soldiers, and will continue to operate in order to remove immediate threats," it stressed. "The IDF continues to remain committed to the agreement between Israel and Lebanon."
