MP calls out collective West for turning blind eye to massive surrender by Ukrainian army

Viktor Volodatsky pointed out that the special military operation is being significantly slowed down due to the use of civilians as human shields by the Ukrainian forces

MOSCOW, May 27. /TASS/. Western countries are unable to turn a blind eye to the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are surrendering their positions en masse, and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted that as well, said Viktor Volodatsky, first deputy chairman of Russia’s State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Ties with Compatriots, when speaking to TASS.

"The world cannot ignore that, as of today, huge numbers of Ukrainian soldiers, drafted and whisked off to the army by the Kiev regime as cannon fodder, are surrendering and losing their positions en masse. And Boris Johnson did just that. […] Our forces, the LPR and DPR militias, are doing their job of denazifying, demilitarizing, and liberating Ukraine from this filth step by step," he said, commenting on the British Prime Minister’s statement about the significant advance of the Russian forces in Donbass.

Volodatsky pointed out that the special military operation is being significantly slowed down due to the use of civilians as human shields by the Ukrainian forces.

"Some Ukrainian military units hold civilians as human shields, preventing people from leaving via humanitarian corridors. […] So, we must act as cautiously as possible. […] This, naturally, slows down the advance and the mop-up of nationalists in Ukraine," the lawmaker added.
