Intel chief corroborates evidence exposing Poland’s ‘peacekeeping’ aims in western Ukraine

The first stage of "reunification" anticipates Polish troops entering western Ukrainian regions under the pretext of "protection against Russian aggression"

MOSCOW, April 29. /TASS/. A statement by Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergey Naryshkin about plans harbored by the United States and Poland to deploy so-called ‘peacekeepers’ in western Ukraine is based on actual intelligence data, the SVR press office told TASS on Friday.

"The statement that Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergey Naryshkin made on April 28 with regard to plans shaped by Washington and Warsaw to deploy a Polish ‘peacekeeping contingent’ in western Ukraine is not a version, but rather factual intelligence information received from several reliable sources," the press office said.

Russia’s foreign intelligence chief said on April 28 that data the SVR was receiving suggested that Washington and Warsaw were hammering out plans of establishing Poland’s tight military and political control over "its historical domains" in Ukraine.

The first stage of "reunification" anticipates Polish troops entering western Ukrainian regions under the pretext of "protection against Russian aggression." The so-called ‘peacekeeping contingent’ is intended to be deployed in those parts of Ukraine where there are practically no chances of clashes with Russian troops.
