MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The mutual trade volume within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) surged by almost 9% year on year in January - August 2023 to about 4.5 trillion rubles ($50.2 bln), Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach said.
"The mutual trade of EAEU member-nations increased by almost 9% more over eight months of this year, compared to the like period [of the last year], to about 4.5 trillion rubles," Volvach said.
GDP of EAEU member-states ticked up by 3% over nine months of this year, despite the sanction pressure against Russia and Belarus, he noted.
About 90% of goods trade in the EAEU are serviced in national currencies, he added.
