MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian airlines carried almost ninety mln passengers from January to October of this year, Deputy Minister of Transport Igor Chalik said during the roundtable on regional transportation development in the Federation Council.
"Data have already been available [on transportation] for ten months. They are approximate - exact ones will be in about a week - but we will approach about 90 mln passengers according to results of ten months," Chalik said. Transportation over nine months stood at 81.1 mln passengers, up 11% against the like period of the last year, he added.
The passenger traffic is expected at the level of 103 mln passengers as of the 2023 year-end, the official said.
"We carried 95.2 mln passengers last year. According to the most modest estimates, we plan to have 103 mln, and slightly more under the best-case ones," he added.
