WASHINGTON, November 7. /TASS/. The volume of imports of Russian goods to the United States in September decreased to $252.3 mln from $298.1 mln in August, according to the data published in the monthly report on trade turnover by the main US statistical agency, the Census Bureau.
At the same time, the volume of imports of goods from Russia to the United States amounted to $241.7 mln in July, $411.7 mln in June, $504 mln in May, $215.6 mln in April, and $561.9 mln in March.
The value of US goods supplies to Russia fell to $38.4 mln in September, down from $32.1 mln in August. It was $35.6 mln in July, $30.9 mln in June, $60 mln in May, $65.2 mln in April, and $66.4 mln in March.
According to the US Census Bureau, the volume of US commodities exported to Russia in 2022 reached a record low for the whole time of computations of Russian-US trade statistics, totaling $1.7 bln. According to the department, the volume of US exports to Russia fell around 3.7-fold last year from around $6.4 bln in 2021. Imports of Russian commodities to the US declined to around $14.45 bln in 2022 from $29.6 bln in 2021.
Overall, the US trade deficit rose by around 5% in September, owing to a greater increase in imports than in exports. The country's overall trade deficit surpassed estimates and reached $61.5 bln, rising from $58.7 bln in August. Imports jumped 2.7% to $322.7 bln, while exports increased 2.2% to $261.1 bln.
