Russia can reduce list of goods allowed to be carried by European trucks — Ministry

In October 2022, the Russian government banned freight traffic in the country for companies from the EU, Norway, Ukraine and the UK

MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. The list of goods not banned for carriage by European semi-trailer trucks can be reduced, press service of the Russian Transport Ministry told TASS.

"The list of goods not covered by the ban on transportation by European trucks is being revised with participation of the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Proposals are now being prepared to reduce the list, including the accumulated, starting since October 2022, positive experience of changes and transshipments at border terminals," the press service said.

In October 2022, the Russian government banned freight traffic in the country for companies from the EU, Norway, Ukraine and the UK. The document provides for a list of goods, whose carriage is not covered by such ban, including foods, ready goods, ingredients and nonfoods.
