Russia's oil output overcomes recession, surpasses last year's level — Putin

According to the Russian president, the total volume of production in Russia and oil exports over up to 2025 will remain at around the current level

MOSCOW, October 12. /TASS/. Russian oil output has overcome the decline and is slightly above the level of last year, Russia will continue to ensure stable energy security, despite the sanctions pressure, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday at the Russian Energy Week forum.

"We do not intend to give up ur positions in the face of the pressure from sanctions and infrastructure sabotage. We will keep up our efforts to maintain stable energy security and forge relationships with nations that are interested in this. Russia’s volume of oil production has already overcome the decline and is even slightly higher than the level of last year," Putin said.

He also added that the total volume of production in Russia and oil exports over up to 2025 will remain at around the current level. "We plan that up to 2025, the total volume of oil exports, as well as the volume of oil production in our country, will remain approximately at the current level," he said, speaking at the Russian Energy Week forum.
