SEOUL, November 30. /TASS/. The South Korean opposition has gathered enough votes to pass the impeachment motion for President Park Geun-hye, a spokesman of the ruling Saenuri party’s parliamentary group supportive of the motion said Wednesday.
"There was concern that our determination may weaken after the president's speech yesterday, but this isn’t so," Hwang Young-cheul told reporters. "Today the group held a meeting to confirm its previously announced stance."
The impeachment motion requires at least 200 "yes" votes in the country’s 300-seat parliament. The vote is planned to be held between December 2 and 9.
