Closed military zone comes into effect in coastal area on border with Lebanon

The decision was made after a situational assessment, the Israel Defense Forces said

TEL AVIV, May 15. /TASS/. A closed military zone has come into effect in a costal area on the border with Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

"Following the situational assessment, a closed military zone has come into effect as of yesterday (Thursday) at 21:20, in the area of Rosh HaNikra and the Achziv coastline," it said. "The IDF emphasizes that entry into this area is strictly prohibited."

"The IDF remains prepared to defend the area," it warned.
