TEHRAN, February 26. /TASS/. As in previous talks, Tehran wants the United States to remove sanctions and recognize its right to the peaceful use of nuclear energy, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said.

"The negotiations, as we have repeatedly stated, are focused on the nuclear issue. Our position on both the removal of sanctions and Iran's right to peaceful use of nuclear energy has been clearly conveyed to the Omani side [acting as intermediary]. These issues will be discussed in detail by the parties during the negotiations today," he said on the air of the Iranian state television and radio company.
