Trump says Musk did 'nothing wrong' regarding Starlink access in Ukraine

The US president said that Elon Musk is "a fair person"

WASHINGTON, October 23. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump has said that US entrepreneur and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has done "nothing wrong" in the context of reports on restrictions on the access to Starlink and Starshield in Ukraine.

"Elon's done nothing wrong. Elon is a very good guy," he told reporters responding to a question about the possibility of Democrats launching an investigation into Musk. "He's a very good person. He's not going to do anything wrong. He's a very brilliant person, or Starlink wouldn't exist."

"I know him very well. He's a fair person, and, you know, it's an unusual situation where you're talking to a private company," he noted.

When asked why access to Starlink and Starshield was restricted in Ukraine, the US leader said, "I have no idea, but I wouldn't tell you if I did know."

On Thursday, Trump announced that Ukraine’s access to the Starshield military satellite communications system had been restored. However, he refused to answer the question of who had issued the order.

Meanwhile, former adviser to the Ukrainian defense minister Sergey Sviridenko stated later that day that the restrictions were still partially in place.
