DUBAI, March 29. /TASS/. Members of Yemen’s rebel Ansar Allah (Houthi) movement have attacked a total of 86 vessels in the Red Sea, the Arab Sea and the Indian Ocean since the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians erupted last October, a member of the movement’s political bureau said.
"By now, 86 vessels have been attacked," Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said in a speech, aired by the Al Masirah TV.
He added that Houthis continue to support the Palestinian resistance in an active and efficient way.
He also said that the movement had delivered a missile strike on several targets in the southern Israeli city of Eilat.
Following the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis warned that they would launch strikes on Israeli territory while barring ships associated with the Jewish state from passing through the waters of the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait until Tel Aviv ceased its military operation against Palestinian radical group Hamas in the embattled enclave.
