Slovak PM expects Russia to dictate terms for peace in Ukraine

Robert Fico stressed that he did not believe the Ukraine crisis could be solved militarily

BRATISLAVA, December 22. /TASS/. The terms for how to bring an end to the Ukraine conflict will be dictated by Russia, Slovakia’s Prime Minister Robert Fico said in an interview with the Slovak newspaper Pravda.

"We can pour all the weapons of the world, all the money there [into Ukraine], and Russia will never be defeated militarily. It is the turn of 2023 and 2024, and you will see that Russia will begin to dictate the terms for resolving this conflict," Fico told the daily. He stressed that he did not believe the Ukraine crisis could be solved militarily.

According to the Slovak head of state, Ukraine does not have the resources to reverse the situation in the conflict zone, nor is it capable of "any counteroffensive."
