ISTANBUL, November 23. /TASS/. A magnitude 5.2 earthquake has rocked the Malatya Province in eastern Turkey, the disaster and emergency management agency said.

There have been no immediate reports about the aftermath of the earth tremor. The earthquake was reported at 5:46 p.m. local time (2:46 p.m. GMT). The seismic focus was at a depth of seven kilometers. The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center specifies that the epicenter was 30 kilometers southeast of the city of Malatya, home to about 441,000 people.

The earthquake was felt in many areas of eastern Turkey, the TRT Haber TV channel reported.
