Four doctors killed in Israeli strike on Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza

The PRCS also said that its two employees were detrained by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint on the border between the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip

BEIRUT, November 21. /TASS/. At least four doctors were killed as a result of Israel’s strike on Al-Awda Hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said on Tuesday.

"The Palestine Red Crescent condemns the Israeli shelling of Al-Awda Hospital which resulted in the martyrdom of 4 doctors," it wrote on its X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

The PRCS also said that its two employees were detrained by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint on the border between the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.

According to the Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres, MSF) international humanitarian organization, two MSF doctors were killed in Israel’s strike on Al-Awda Hospital. "We condemn this strike in the strongest terms and yet again call for the respect and protection of medical facilities, staff, and patients," the MSF said. "More than 200 patients are currently still inside Al Awda and are unable to receive the level of care they need. These patients must be urgently and safely evacuated to other hospitals that are still functioning in Gaza.".
