Turkish president calls on Israeli PM to acknowledge possession of nuclear weapons

According to Recep Tayyip Erdogan, "Israeli ministers have admitted on camera that they have nuclear weapons"

ANKARA, November 15. /TASS/. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to acknowledge his country’s possession of nuclear weapons.

"Netanyahu, acknowledge that you have a nuclear bomb. Acknowledge it. You have it, and this is why you are threatening to use it. No matter how many bombs you have, you’re finished [in politics]," Erdogan said in an address to members of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party in parliament.

According to Erdogan, "Israeli ministers have admitted on camera that they have nuclear weapons." "However, the International Atomic Energy Agency is doing nothing about it. We have seen numerous examples of such double standards, spinelessness and unscrupulousness," he added.

The Turkish president said earlier that a proposal "to hold a regional conference on denuclearization" had been put forward at the November 11 extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Arab League "with regard to information about Israel’s nuclear weapons." According to Erdogan, the denuclearization issue "is very important because it unmasks both Israel and those behind it."
