DUBAI, November 2. /TASS/. Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) nations should consider signing a non-aggression treaty, Rahim Safavi, an adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said during a visit to China.
"I suggest working on [ensuring] security and lasting peace in the SCO countries. The signing of a non-aggression treaty between the organization's members could set the process in motion," Iran’s Fars news agency quoted Safavi as saying.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization brings together Russia, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The member states hold regular anti-terrorism drills, with the Peace Mission exercise being the largest.
