CAIRO, November 1. /TASS/. More than 8,700 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s bombardment and shelling of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

"The current number of fatalities caused by the Israeli forces’ attacks on the Gaza Strip stands at 8,796," the minister said in a statement released by the Al Hadath television channel.

Moreover, according to the statement, the Health Ministry has received 2,030 reports of people suspected to be under the rubble of buildings destroyed by Israeli air strikes. Mostly, the reports refer to the Palestinians who were reported missing after Israel’s massive air strikes on the Jabalia refugee camp, which left several hundred people killed or wounded.
