55 trucks with humanitarian aid reach Gaza Strip — Egyptian Red Crescent

CAIRO, October 23. /TASS/. At least 55 trucks with humanitarian cargoes have entered the Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing on the border with Egypt, Raed Abdel Nasser, Secretary General of the Egyptian Red Crescent North Sinai Branch, said on Monday.

"As of now, fifty-five trucks with humanitarian aid have entered the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing, the Sada al-Balad television channel quoted him as saying. According to Nasser, the cargoes include primarily medicines and food. Deliveries are coordinated with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. He also said that around 100 more trucks are in a line on the road leading to the checkpoint on the Egyptian side.
