ROME, April 8. /TASS/. The Italian authorities received confirmation of the death of a citizen of the republic in a terrorist attack that occurred on the Tel Aviv embankment on Friday evening. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani wrote on Twitter.

"Israeli authorities confirm the death of Italian citizen Alessandro Parini and report the possible injury of other compatriots in the vile attack on Tel Aviv," the minister tweeted. The press service of the Italian government reported that Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is in contact with the Israeli authorities.

Earlier, the Kan radio station reported that one person was killed and six more were wounded in a ramming and shooting attack at Tel Aviv’s beach promenade on Friday evening. According to the radio station, after the terrorist’s car rammed several pedestrians, the man came out of the vehicle and tried to shoot but was neutralize by a police officer. As the press service of the Magen David Adom medical service reported the killed person and all wounded in the terrorist attack were foreign tourists.
