TEL-AVIV, April 7. /TASS/. Warplanes of the Israeli air force struck weapon workshops and tunnels of the Hamas radical group on the territory of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) press service said on Friday.

"This strike came in response to security violations, committed by Hamas in the past few days," the statement says.

According to the Al Hadath television channel, the air raid left several people injured.

"A number of people were injured in the Al-Zeitun distirct of the Gaza Strip’s administrative center, Gaza City," the report says.
