Germany completes training of Ukrainian troops in using Leopard 2 tanks — report

BERLIN, March 13. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops in Germany have completed their training in using Germany’s Leopard 2, the die Zeit newspaper reported on Monday.

Ukrainian servicemen are now ready to use Leopard 2 tanks, according to the report. The trained crews and their tanks will be in Ukraine in March, the report said.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said on March 8 that Kiev will get 21 Leopard 2A6 tanks from Germany and Portugal before the end of the month. Berlin is providing 18 of them.
