Runoff presidential election in South Ossetia may be held on May 8, CEC says

TSKHINVAL, April 12. /TASS/. The second round of presidential elections in South Ossetia may be scheduled for May 8, the republic’s Central Election Commission’s Secretary Kristina Avlokhova told TASS.

It was reported earlier that the election would most likely be held on April 24.

"We discussed the issue of holding the second tour of the election. It may be scheduled for May 8 but the final decision will be made after the results of the vote are summarized," she said.
