MOSCOW, March 16. /TASS/. The residents of Mariupol who have managed to flee the city speak about violence and crimes committed by Ukrainian nationalists, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, chief of Russia’s National Defense Management Center, said on Wednesday.

"After finding themselves safe, the rescued inhabitants of Mariupol openly talk about the atrocities and humiliation against defenseless elderly people, women and children that were committed by neo-Nazis from territorial defense battalions who were feeling absolute impunity, while those who showed even the slightest resistance were killed [by them] on the spot," Mizintsev said.

According to the general, "individual, highly professional medical and psychological assistance is being offered to each city dweller who has survived the horrors and humiliation from neo-Nazis.".
