PARIS, June 16. /TASS/. France’s national football team has defeated Albania 2-0 ensuring for itself a place in the playoff of the 2016 UEFA Euro Cup.

The Group A match was held at the Velodrome stadium in Marseille.

Antoine Griezmann and Dimitri Payet scored both in the 90th minute.

Group A teams Romania and Switzerland earlier Wednesday played a game that ended with a 1-1 draw.

After two matches, France’s national team holds the first place in the group with 6 points. Switzerland has 4 points, Romania 1 point, Albania 0.

In the next match, the home side will play Switzerland in Lille on June 19, and Albania will play Romania the same day in Lyon.
