MOSCOW, May 18. /TASS/. Russian heavyweight boxer Alexander Povetkin says he looks forward for the possible re-match with Ukrainian WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts holder Wladimir Klitschko and hopes the chances are high enough for their encounter.

In an interview with TASS, Russian boxer Povetkin, also known as ‘Russian Vityaz’ (28-1, 20 KOs), said his re-match with ‘Dr. Steelhammer’ Klitschko (64-3, 53 KOs) was of a personal interest for him.

"I want to meet with Klitschko to close all the issues," Povetkin, 35, said in an interview with TASS. "I must do it not for the benefit of someone else, but for my own benefit."

"I have watched some of Klitshko’s bouts and think of him," Povetkin said. "He does his work. There are chances [for the bout against Klitschko] and he must take an interest in it."

"There should be a correct approach to this moment and, when we meet, the bout must be interesting and spectacular," Povetkin said. "It was not the case with the last time we met, when I tried to do something, but Klitschko was more experienced and his tactics was more correct. That is why he won."

Klitschko, who turned 39 in March, fought his title defense bout against Russia’s WBA mandatory Povetkin in October of 2013 in Moscow defeating the Russian boxer on pints.
