MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Businessman Yevgeny Chichvarkin (listed as a foreign agent in Russia) has been charged with participating in the activities of an undesirable organization, a spokesperson for a Moscow district court told TASS.
"A protocol against Chichvarkin Ye.A. on charges under article 20.33 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences (participation in the activities of a foreign organization that has been designated as undesirable in Russia) was filed with the court," the Moscow Dorogomilovo District Court spokesperson said, adding that these charges carry a punishment of up to 15,000 rubles ($155).
According to social media, the protocol is linked with the activities of the Russian Anti-War Committee, which was recognized as an undesired organization at the request from a prosecutor’s office.
Chichvarkin has already been fined twice for violating the foreign agent law after he was put on the list of foreign agents in June 2022. Chichvarkin is currently residing outside Russia.
