Breeders have been cultivating tulips in the Nikitsky Garden for more than 60 years. This year, 105,000 bulbs of 159 varieties were planted.

"36 varieties were shown at our exhibition for the first time. All of them are modern European selections. Among them is a very special 2022 variety from Holland," Zykova said.

According to the Botanical Garden, the first varieties of tulips bloomed in mid-February due to warm weather. This year, the parade will last until the end of April.
