Ukrainian agent detained in Crimea claims to have been instructed to blow up blogger

According to the FSB, a total of 14 acts of sabotage and terrorism have been prevented

MOSCOW, December 11. /TASS/. The Investigative Committee has released a video of an interrogation involving a member of an underground network of Ukrainian agents who was detained in Crimea.

"I was found through my friends who left Feodosia in 2014. The explosives were intended to blow up a scooter. This volunteer, blogger had to be eliminated, according to the curators from Ukraine, so that such people are less likely to engage in activities and supply the front," said the detainee. He also gave details about where he hid detonators and how carefully he prepared for the crime.

Earlier it was reported that the FSB in cooperation with the Russian Investigative Committee this year suppressed the activities of an extensive, underground network of agents working for Ukrainian special services, created under the control of Western curators in the territory of the Republic of Crimea to commit high-profile acts of sabotage and terrorism against representatives of state authorities, servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces and the Russian Federal Security Service, as well as objects of the transportation and energy infrastructure of the peninsula. According to the FSB, a total of 14 acts of sabotage and terrorism have been prevented. Ten people have already been convicted for plotting terrorist acts.

Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, Head of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov, Mayor of Yalta Yanina Pavlenko, pro-Russian blogger Alexander Talipov and public figure Oleg Tsarev were targeted in the planned attacks.

Besides, according to the FSB, 18 agents and accomplices from Ukrainian special services involved in committing five sabotage attacks on railway tracks in the Simferopol and Kirov districts of the Crimean Republic and near Feodosia, blowing up gas pipelines in Simferopol and Koreiz, as well as vehicles belonging to a representative of the Zaporozhye region administration and servicemen of the Russian Defense Ministry taking part in the special military operation were detained.
