Putin says he sings Russian and Soviet songs in his leisure time

MOSCOW, June 30./TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that being a Russian, he may have a drink and sing folk songs in his leisure time.

"I don’t have much time for rest," the president noted during the Direct Line program on Wednesday.

However, Putin said that when he finds time to take a rest, he is in no way different from ordinary Russians. "They sit for a while and then take a drink," he said. "And if they raise a glass, then they will sing something for certain. Me, I’m a Russian man, that is why I don’t differ much from the overwhelming majority of our nationals in this sense," the president explained.

Putin revealed that he sings Russian and Soviet songs. "They are harmonious, beautiful and thoughtful," the president concluded.
