ST. PETERSBURG, June 14. /TASS/. Provision of catering services and sale of products in the fan zones of Euro 2020 in St. Petersburg will be prohibited from June 17. The ban does not apply only to the sale of drinks, the press service of the city governor's administration said on Monday.
"Precautions are being tightened when fans visit fan zones at the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship. From June 14, wearing masks is obligatory. From June 17, no catering or food sales are allowed in fan zones, with the exception of beverages," according to the statement.
On June 11, the city authorities opened fan zones in St. Petersburg on the Konyushennaya Square and at the Yubileiny sports complex. It is also planned to open the viewing area for Euro 2020 matches on Palace Square from July 2.
The rescheduled 2020 UEFA Euro Cup runs from June 11 to July 11. St. Petersburg hosts seven games: Belgium - Russia (June 12), Poland - Slovakia (June 14), Finland - Russia (June 16), Sweden - Slovakia (June 18), Finland - Belgium (June 21), Sweden - Poland (June 23), as well as the quarterfinals on July 2.
