Russia reports over 8,400 new coronavirus cases

The total case tally has reached 1,176,286

MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. Russia’s coronavirus cases grew by 8,481 in the past day, bringing the total case tally to 1,176,286, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Wednesday.

According to its data, a 0.7% daily growth rate was registered.

The lowest growth rates in the past day were registered in the Chukotka Autonomous Region (0%), the Chechen Republic (0.2%), the Moscow, Smolensk and Tula Regions, the Chuvash Republic and Tatarstan (0.3%).

Some 2,308 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Moscow, 276 in St. Petersburg, 222 in the Moscow Region, 198 in the Rostov Region and 175 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

Currently, 197,307 people are undergoing treatment for the coronavirus in Russia.
