February 27 declared Special Operations Force Day in Russia

According to the chief of Russia's General Staff, military conflicts and wars of the XXI century show the increasingly larger role of special operations forces

MOSCOW, February 27. /TASS/. Russian President Vlaimir Putin on Thursday signed a decree declaring February 27 Special Operations Force Day.

Chief of Russia's General Staff Valery Gerasimov almost two years ago announced that the Defense Ministry was beginning to form the Special Operations Force. According to Gerasimov, military conflicts and wars of the XXI century show the increasingly larger role of special operations forces.
